Joseph Degati

Chief Information Officer

Joe Degati joined Spheris as Chief Information Officer in April 2005. As CIO, Degati is responsible for directing all aspects of the Spheris transcription platform, corporate applications and telecommunications infrastructure.

Prior to joining Spheris, he had 20 years of senior-level management experience in information technology from the retail, manufacturing, marketing and service industries for companies such as Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Andersen Consulting and Footstar, Inc. Most recently, Joe served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Progeny Marketing Innovations where he was responsible for all systems-related activities including applications development, technology management, strategic services and project administration.

Degati is a member of both the Nashville Technology Council and the Nashville CIO Council and is actively involved with the local United Way. He holds a bachelor of arts in computer science from Columbia University.
